Image: Introducing the Finite Finish Structure Tool

BNS is excited to announce the launch of the Aceco Finite Finish Structure Tool.  This tool was developed by ski racers Eric and Joe Jensen and is one of the best tools out there and because it is basically being sold directly, it is affordable for ski clubs or serious ski racers.  BNS and Zach Caldwell are working on development of additional structure drums. Check out details inside.   Read More...

BNS will host a free equipment demo at Eldora on Saturday, Dec 6 from 9AM-1PM.  Equipment from Fischer, Swix, Salomon, Rossignol, Alpina, Atomic and OneWay will be available for demo for free.  Come on up and try out new gear from to see what brands fit you best.

We're set up at our space in Yellowstone and are working through our first batch of about 100 pairs of skis.  The skiing is good on The Plateau and lots of people are starting to show up, so things look good here.

Details on hours, drop-off's, etc inside.

By Zach Caldwell.

Kris Freeman has one really amazing pair of skis. He’s got lots of good skis, but just one that is really amazing, and really amazing in just about all conditions.

Last May when Nathan and I were testing skis at the US Ski Team camp in Whistler we got to ski on a lot of good skis. We had a whole bunch of next year’s Peltonens to try out. We were also skiing on a bunch of new Madshus skis for Leif Zimmerman and Noah Hoffman. We identified some really good skis and then we played with binding position (thanks to NIS plates) to find the “sweet spot” on the pairs that we really liked. When we were satisfied that we had some great skis I suggested that I should take a spin on Kris’s “261” (last three digits of the serial number) ski as a reference. After all, we know that this ski is happy running at the front end of a World Cup field. As references go we had reason to believe that the bar was set pretty high. Sure enough, stepping onto the 261 ski was like..., well..., it was different. Amazing. That’s what it was.

Image: Team Night at BNS

Wednesday Night was our Boulder Nordic Junior Team Night.  It was pretty mellow for a team night partially because we have figured out how to make things run smoothly, and partially because the junior team lost a lot of its most serious skiers to college this year.  There was still a lot going on, though.  Check inside for photos...   Read More...

Image: BNS Magazine/Catalog/Sourcebook
We just finished our 16 page informational catalog/magazine/technical manual.  We think it is revolutionary.  But we're also really out of it from staying up late at night to get it finished.
You can judge: hit to request a copy and we'll mail it to you.  We cover a bit about everything we do and there are useful tips and explanations on all sorts of topics including ski selection, stone grinding, boots, structure application, training, apparel and more.

Nathan was in New Hampshire picking skis at the Fischer warehouse August 15th.  More on the trip inside...   Read More...
