Weather-
Tonight - Snow likely before 11pm, then rain and snow. Temperature falling to near 18 by 8pm, then rising to around 24 during the remainder of the night. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Sunday - Rain before 11am, then snow. High near 34. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Recommendation:

Base Layer: Ski*Go LF Graphite

Race Paraffin: Ski*Go HF Orange/Green Premix

Fluoro Powder: Ski*Go C105, Holmenkol Race Powder Mid
Topcoat: Ski*GO C105, Holmenkol Mid08

Structure: Our C2.2 will be a good choice, probably best to test some hand structures, Holmenkol Cross Structure Tool with one or two rollers, or the Finite CP17.

Kick: This depends on the weather overnight and tomorrow – some options to try are Guru Red, Rode T-Line, Ski*Go HF Red or HF Panther, Holmenkol Red, if these won’t work try a zero ski.

Discussion- We did not have a good window to test this afternoon, and overnight weather and tomorrow’s weather will change the conditions.  Our recommendations above are based on the forecast and prior testing and knowledge of the venue.  If the temperatures are higher than forecasted warmer waxes may be needed – Ski*Go C22 powder runs well here as well as Ski*Go C22 block and liquid.  Hand structure may be needed, it is worth testing.  We are very confident in our paraffin call, Ski*Go HF Orange/Green has a big range and has been working here all week.

For kick, this depends on how the weather shapes up overnight.  Zero skis would be worth trying – as well as kick waxes around the freezing range.  We have been particulary impressed with the Rode T-Line waxes for the conditions forecasted, these are worth a test.  If significant rain falls and klister is needed Ski*Go HF Universal is a good place to start.

CONCLUSIONARY NOTES – Come visit Roger and David in the BNS mobile trailer parked by the maintenance garage.  We have a complete stock of wax and tools for purchase.  We are testing daily and will be posting results at the trailer.  To receive our latest results in a text, send a text message to Roger at 2077491945 to get on the list.

note: BNS imports Holmenkol and SkiGo waxes, and also sells waxes from Swix, Toko, Rode, Solda, Rex, Guru, Innovax, Magnar and others. We search for the fastest waxes for our customers and our testing is professional, objective and transparent. We make our best effort to test what we think is the best from each brand.  However, given that we are testing more options from Holmenkol and SkiGo, there is a bias toward those brands.  With this full disclosure, you can assess the legitimacy of our testing yourself. Visit Swix and Toko for their official recommendations. If you have any questions please contact us.
