Recommendation:Forecast based with some on-site previews.

Base Layer: Ski*Go LF Graphite.

Race Paraffin:  choose one:

·       Holmenkol Speedbase Mid

HHolmenkol Matrix Blue or Holmenkol Racing Mix Mid

(Ski*Go) HF Blue

Fluoro Powder: Holmenkol Race Powder Mid (Mid 08) or SkiGo C105

Topcoat: Ski*Go C22 solid or Holmenkol Speedblock Wet.

Structure: Cross Structure should work well (Holmenkol Cross Structure tool with one roller) or Finite L04. Apply lightly and brush out prior to applying topcoat.  (Testing recommended)

Kick: Base: Rode Chola Binder Klister (thin): Kick Options: Ski*Go HF Red or Yellow, HF Violet Klister, HF Universal Klister, Red XC Klister.  Zero skis would be handy to have on hand!

Test Discussion- Tech Rep was on site skiing on the trails Friday morning and the snow was much colder than forecast. It is warming up, but not expected to be as warm as originally forecast. The snow is expected to start cold and warm up during the race, but stay relatively dry. Wet/warm waxes will probably be a liability in the early stages. It is probably a good idea to do one colder pair (primary) but have a warmer pair ready to test in the morning. if the warm pair is running well before the start, go with it!

CONCLUSIONARY NOTES –   This is a forecast based recommendation.  Other products that could run well or would be worth testing:  Paraffin: Holmenkol Racing mix wet, Holmenkol Speedbase Wet. - Powders: Ski*Go CM10 Solid, Ski*Go C44/7, Ski*Go C22. – Top Coats: Ski*Go C44/7 solid/liquid or Ski*Go C22 liquid

note: BNS imports Holmenkol and SkiGo waxes, and also sells waxes from Swix, Toko, Rode, Solda, Rex, Guru, Innovax, Magnar and others. We search for the fastest waxes for our customers and our testing is professional, objective and transparent. We make our best effort to test what we think is the best from each brand.  However, given that we are testing more options from Holmenkol and SkiGo, there is a bias toward those brands.  With this full disclosure, you can assess the legitimacy of our testing yourself. Visit Swix and Toko for their official recommendations. If you have any questions please contact us.
